Chicureo's Aníbal Parodi got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aureliano Fouillioux got free with Pietro Lafferte in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Aníbal Parodi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicureo's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Parodi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pietro Lafferte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Montes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Pietro Lafferte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chicureo. After having played for 22 minutes, Aníbal Parodi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicureo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Parodi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aníbal Parodi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aureliano Fouillioux's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Pietro Lafferte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Aníbal Parodi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Chicureo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Parodi couldn't finish the play. Aníbal Parodi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexis Aichele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pietro Lafferte having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Luis's zone, Aníbal Parodi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pietro Lafferte came out of the goal and Aníbal Parodi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Alonso during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Norberto Alonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pietro Lafferte having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Fouillioux couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Aureliano Fouillioux made a precise shot to the right of Pietro Lafferte. San Luis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Fulgencio Montes fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chicureo's protests and gave Fulgencio Montes a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Chicureo got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Montes. Tauro Lauwerens hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Aníbal Parodi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
