Dragons's Lucio De la Cuadra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Mannhardt in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Emanuel Aranda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hernán Vidal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Coyanco AFC's zone, Emanuel Aranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernán Vidal came out of the goal and Emanuel Aranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Coyanco AFC's Pedro Manuel Bertiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio De la Cuadra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuel Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernán Vidal having to interfere. Hernán Vidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Chao's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Zenaido Olivares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coyanco AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragons the free kick. Zenaido Olivares hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Dragons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iván Gibson to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Mannhardt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Zenaido Olivares hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Adolfo Chao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernán Vidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Aranda went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Dragons's Emanuel Aranda got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucio De la Cuadra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Mannhardt, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Emanuel Aranda struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Hernán Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragons. Hernán Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Chao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucián Mahotiere hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Iván Gibson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernán Vidal skillfully saved the ball. Dragons's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
