The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Altamira's Rafael Fontecilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Mannhardt in the 5th minute of play. Coyanco AFC's Hernán Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacobo Benoit in the 8th minute of play. Altamira's Rafael Fontecilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Altamira from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manuel Bertiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saturnino Mannhardt struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Rafael Fontecilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coyanco AFC. Rafael Fontecilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Mannhardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eber Forlan kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Norino Noria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hernán Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacobo Benoit in the 37th minute of play forced Coyanco AFC's goalkeeper Hernán Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Fontecilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucián Mahotiere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xacobo Benoit was the one to do the kick off. Altamira's Rafael Fontecilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Mannhardt in the 53rd minute of play. Norino Noria kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Xacobo Benoit charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xacobo Benoit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Xacobo Benoit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coyanco AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norino Noria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Coyanco AFC's zone, Juan Alfonso Docal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernán Vidal came out of the goal and Juan Alfonso Docal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Hernán Vidal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 92 minutes of play Coyanco AFC's Zenaido Olivares was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Zenaido Olivares hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Norino Noria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norino Noria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Altamira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coyanco AFC throughout the match.
