If Igor Messia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute of the match Godofredo Lobillo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Luis Alpi skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A.Libertad1984's Alvar Calvo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juan Luis Alpi. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvar Calvo got free with Juan Luis Alpi in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 33rd minute of the match Saturnino Mann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Saturnino Mann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Cutijmaya's Saturnino Mann got a free kick in the 34th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Madeo Lambarrie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Madeo Lambarrie got free in front of the goal in the 54th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Hipolito Carretero was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Juan Luis Alpi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvar Calvo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Luis Alpi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Messia in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Messia in the 85th minute of play forced Cutijmaya's goalkeeper Juan Luis Alpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Amorini struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Hipolito Carretero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cutijmaya.
