Spectators: 6696 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Desiderio Leay kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geraldo Montenegro in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Acosta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenio Sabater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chancon's Desiderio Leay in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Sabater in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Javier Bacigalupo saved Huillinlebu FC from getting behind. Carlos Alberto Adelsdorfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Acosta having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Mercurio Unzueta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Acosta made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bruno Dechent sent off a good shot on target. If Eugenio Sabater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Juan Alberto Alico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huillinlebu FC the free kick. In the 36th minute, one of Chancon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chancon. Chancon:s Fabricio Acosta showed great skill when he stopped Tito Granado:s penalty. Tito Granado scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Acosta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Huillinlebu FC's Luis Javier Bacigalupo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Leay in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geraldo Montenegro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Sabater could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Luis Javier Bacigalupo made a huge save. After 55 minutes, Nicolas Jimenez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chancon and the Huillinlebu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Nicolas Jimenez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Montenegro got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fabricio Acosta handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Huillinlebu FC's Luis Javier Bacigalupo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Huillinlebu FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 61 minutes, Bruno Dechent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huillinlebu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Dechent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugenio Sabater who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Luis Javier Bacigalupo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 67 played minutes Chancon got a freekick which was hit by Mercurio Unzueta. In the 69th minute, Fabricio Oviedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Desiderio Leay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chancon's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Leay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Javier Bacigalupo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Geraldo Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Huillinlebu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Montenegro couldn't finish the play. After 84 played minutes Huillinlebu FC got a freekick which was hit by Amador Canal. In the 85th minute of the match Podador Delano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Javier Bacigalupo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 86 in the game by Eugenio Sabater from a close distance when the talented Luis Javier Bacigalupo managed to make a qualified save. Huillinlebu FC's players were relieved. Luis Javier Bacigalupo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Leay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Leay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Javier Bacigalupo was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
