After having played for 21 minutes, Yeray Villablanca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espijia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yeray Villablanca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Miguel Utreras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Armenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Espijia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Barrueto in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Espijia got a corner. Fraguita FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugo Barrueto ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Hugo Barrueto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Norberto Armenta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adalberto Requena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Mannhardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Miguel Utreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Nemesio Tous managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fraguita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Tous was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Conrado Mannhardt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nemesio Tous received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Adalberto Requena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Mannhardt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nemesio Tous had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Norberto Armenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Utreras, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Yeray Villablanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 60 in the game by Conrado Mannhardt from a close distance when the talented Adalberto Requena managed to make a qualified save. Espijia's players were relieved. Norberto Armenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Utreras in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Yeray Villablanca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Espijia's zone, Conrado Mannhardt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Requena came out of the goal and Conrado Mannhardt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Igon Schiller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Mannhardt got free with Adalberto Requena in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Conrado Mannhardt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fraguita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Mannhardt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adalberto Requena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yeray Villablanca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Norberto Armenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
