Firmín Antonis made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Hilario Huechun sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Santibañez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club O´Higgins's Norberto Abuauad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Club O´Higgins from getting a goal against them. Aureliano Santibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firmín Antonis having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Domeyko eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
