Queniza's supporters rose to their feet, but Eber Gabler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvino Viveros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eber Gabler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Silvino Viveros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If David Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 11 minutes, Rubén Romo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queniza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubén Romo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ingenio AFC's zone, David Carson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvino Viveros came out of the goal and David Carson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ingenio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eber Gabler came free, but Silvino Viveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvino Viveros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eber Gabler in the 19th minute of play. Eber Gabler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvino Viveros having to interfere. A collision led to Queniza getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jeraldo Mejia hit a great ball. Carmelo Serey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Banderas in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Eber Gabler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvino Viveros was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Queniza's David Carson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ingenio AFC's Silvino Viveros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eber Gabler in the 42nd minute of play. Carmelo Serey made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Fabricio Banderas sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Carson was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Queniza's zone, Fabricio Banderas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Serey came out of the goal and Fabricio Banderas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelo Serey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Banderas in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Fabricio Banderas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Serey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Carson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Silvino Viveros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eber Gabler got free with Silvino Viveros in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvino Viveros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queniza. The supporters of Queniza booed when Ingenio AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Kovasic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute David Carson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvino Viveros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Carson in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvino Viveros saved Ingenio AFC from getting behind. Silvino Viveros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Carson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Silvino Viveros made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Eber Gabler sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 89 minutes, David Carson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
