The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute, Jeraldo Dabrowsky made a precise shot to the right of Victor Elguea. Pumiri FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bairon Ávila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Victor Elguea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes, Pumiri FC's Andreo Dessauer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miren Linacre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pumiri FC reached it. Theobald Matta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mantos's Miren Linacre got control of the ball when Theobald Matta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Siluna Alen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Pumiri FC got a freekick which was hit by Bayron Zebadilla. Pumiri FC's Joaquin Larenas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mantos's zone, Joaquin Larenas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miren Linacre came out of the goal and Joaquin Larenas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When Podador Huilcaman fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mantos's protests and gave Podador Huilcaman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pumiri FC booed when Mantos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Podador Huilcaman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miren Linacre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Larenas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Theobald Matta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miren Linacre having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, one of Pumiri FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pumiri FC. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Mantos. Salvador Zuasnabar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victor Elguea. 1-2. Joaquin Larenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miren Linacre having to interfere. If Theobald Matta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Elguea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bairon Ávila in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Theobald Matta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miren Linacre was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Theobald Matta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Miren Linacre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
