Ofelio Quintano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Malky having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Papujune FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Malky had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ofelio Quintano. Salamón Casanueva's late challenge caught a Papujune FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salamón Casanueva helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Callejones AFC got a freekick which was hit by Salamón Casanueva. Orlín Losada was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Salomone Claro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurín Oviedo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nazario Olarra. Nazario Olarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Papujune FC's Salomone Claro in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Callejones AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ofelio Quintano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Malky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Laurín Oviedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurín Oviedo was the one to do the kick off. Callejones AFC's Ofelio Quintano got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Ofelio Quintano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilfredo Malky. Papujune FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ofelio Quintano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 63rd match minute, Callejones AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Asencio to maneuver through the defense. Salomone Claro might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nazario Olarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salomone Claro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Salomone Claro made a precise shot to the right of Nazario Olarra. Callejones AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Wilfredo Malky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Quintano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Ormaechea during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
