After 4 minutes, Vicente Bennet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pichidangui FC and the Real Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Pichidangui FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Madrid:s goal. Brian Bolocco shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 7 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Magnolfi. If Vicente Bennet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Real Madrid's Gerónimo Keuter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Miguel Cacho in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Juan Miguel Cacho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pichidangui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Miguel Cacho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pichidangui FC's Arturo Abarzuza got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Real Madrid booed when Pichidangui FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Abarzuza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Antonio Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Uribe, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Sandro Magnolfi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Antonio Anaya skillfully saved the ball. After 25 played minutes Pichidangui FC got a freekick which was hit by David Israel Thayer. When Pichidangui FC's Juan Miguel Cacho in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Madrid's goalie prevented a goal. Arturo Abarzuza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Miguel Cacho in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerónimo Keuter saved Real Madrid from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Miguel Cacho to make the kick off. Pichidangui FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
