Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Podador Amaral started the match with the kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Podador Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Provincial Osorno F.C's Mauro Gorriti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Epifanío Aguirrebeña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Gorriti having to interfere. Podador Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Esequiel Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Mariposas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esequiel Navarro couldn't finish the play. After 14 played minutes Mariposas got a freekick which was hit by Esequiel Navarro. Tomás Talledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariposas's Remigio Dibarrart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Mariposas from getting a goal against them. Podador Amaral scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Gorriti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th match minute, Mariposas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esequiel Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Talledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Mariposas's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Carlos Cristi came free, but Remigio Dibarrart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Carlos Cristi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Dibarrart having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Juan Carlos Cristi made the kick off in the second half. If Epifanío Aguirrebeña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Provincial Osorno F.C's Tomás Talledo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Dibarrart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Carlos Cristi in the 57th minute of play. If Juan Carlos Cristi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Juan Carlos Cristi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Provincial Osorno F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Carlos Cristi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Dibarrart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Podador Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Podador Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Mariposas fans jumped to their feet. Podador Amaral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Mauro Gorriti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Podador Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Velasco Raggio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mauro Gorriti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Podador Amaral in the 73rd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Mauro Gorriti kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Remigio Dibarrart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Talledo in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Mariposas's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Carlos Cristi came free, but Remigio Dibarrart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Podador Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Gorriti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Podador Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanío Aguirrebeña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mauro Gorriti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Ermegildo Yorgos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariposas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Yorgos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariposas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
