Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Ariel Diaz de León started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Epifanío Aguirrebeña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Ignacio Isasa having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Diego Aguirrebeña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Dibarrart was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Remigio Dibarrart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Diaz de León in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Hilario Maristany hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Podador Amaral notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Escapina's Juan Ignacio Isasa. Juan Ignacio Isasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Podador Amaral struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Juan Ignacio Isasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariposas. 32 minutes into the match, Podador Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Ignacio Isasa, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Podador Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Podador Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escapina's Juan Ignacio Isasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juan Ignacio Isasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Podador Amaral in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Escapina's Menéndez Leal got a free kick in the 65th minute. Diego Aguirrebeña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Dibarrart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Podador Amaral in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Ignacio Isasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, Mariposas's Podador Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Ignacio Isasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After some careless play in the Escapina defense, Podador Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Ignacio Isasa. The Escapina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Ignacio Isasa should have stopped the shot. Juan Ignacio Isasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esequiel Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Juan Ignacio Isasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Podador Amaral in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Mariposas's Podador Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Ignacio Isasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Mariposas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
