Podador Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidelio Aragón having to interfere. Miguel Clavijo's late challenge caught a Mariposas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Clavijo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mariposas booed when Conchali FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Clavijo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Podador Amaral sped through Conchali FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fidelio Aragón. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Podador Amaral in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fidelio Aragón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlín Rouse's late challenge caught a Mariposas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlín Rouse helped the player get up and apologised. When Mariposas's Podador Amaral in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Conchali FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 19th minute, Esequiel Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Mariposas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velasco Raggio to maneuver through the defense. Fidelio Aragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Podador Amaral's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When Miguel Clavijo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Coulin got free with Remigio Dibarrart in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Erik Coulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariposas's Remigio Dibarrart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Coulin in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Mariposas's goalkeeper Remigio Dibarrart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Coulin. After a rather tough play, Mariposas's Esequiel Navarro got a free kick in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Mariposas's Remigio Dibarrart got control of the ball when Erik Coulin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Mariposas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Podador Amaral made a kick off. If Velasco Raggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Conchali FC's zone, Esequiel Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidelio Aragón came out of the goal and Esequiel Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Podador Amaral in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fidelio Aragón, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Podador Amaral in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidelio Aragón saved Conchali FC from getting behind. Pere Jordi Arandia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With his leg Fidelio Aragón managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Mariposas's Podador Amaral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Podador Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidelio Aragón was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Esequiel Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidelio Aragón having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Podador Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Podador Amaral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fidelio Aragón. Podador Amaral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Epifanío Aguirrebeña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fidelio Aragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Podador Amaral in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidelio Aragón saved Conchali FC from getting behind. Mariposas played a much better game than Conchali FC and deserved their victory. The Conchali FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
