After 28 played minutes Cuzcuz got a freekick which was hit by Roland Marshall. Miguel Dubornais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Bacarreza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Antonio Vicente made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Armando Detmer sent off a good shot on target. Lino Bacarreza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dubornais having to interfere.

Lino Bacarreza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Miguel Dubornais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute of the match, Roque Gómez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Dubornais saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tinguaro Mallea hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cuzcuz booed when Pataguas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. A hard shot by Ceandro Pascual from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Miguel Dubornais's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 1-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Roque Gómez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Roque Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Paulino Quijada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pataguas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The Cuzcuz players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pataguas AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
