When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, Iron Maiden's Eladio Dean got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Juan Antonio Vicente. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Roque Gómez made the kick off in the second half. Lino Bacarreza in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 75th minute, Roque Gómez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roland Ríos hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cuzcuz booed when Iron Maiden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Carlos Matute didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ceandro Pascual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuzcuz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
