Villaseca AFC's Xalvador Ehijo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Villaseca AFC from getting a goal against them. Maxín Riera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Gabriel Garachena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lepihue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villaseca AFC the free kick. Gabriel Garachena hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes Lepihue got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Garachena. 27 minutes into the match, Villaseca AFC's goalkeeper Xalvador Ehijo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Batista Jorquera. Demetrio Abbatte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxín Riera, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Maxín Riera sped through Lepihue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Demetrio Abbatte. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Reynero was the one to do the kick off. Demetrio Abbatte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxín Riera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Maxín Riera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villaseca AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxín Riera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Batista Jorquera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Xalvador Ehijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ysmael Catoni during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Villaseca AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ysmael Catoni hit a great ball. In the 64thth minute of the game Batista Jorquera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villaseca AFC's Xalvador Ehijo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxín Riera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batista Jorquera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Jorquera in the 76th minute of play forced Villaseca AFC's goalkeeper Xalvador Ehijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Patricio Reynero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lepihue's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Reynero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xalvador Ehijo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Reynero in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xalvador Ehijo saved Villaseca AFC from getting behind. Batista Jorquera took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xalvador Ehijo. Xalvador Ehijo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Maxín Riera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Demetrio Abbatte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Reynero struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Xalvador Ehijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lepihue. If Batista Jorquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Villaseca AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villaseca AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
