Estrella del este's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Angel Ceballos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricard Languard to strike the kick off in the second half. Norberto Mazeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Estrella del este booed when Carora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Botello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Angel Ceballos in the 98th minute of play. Estrella del este's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
