The Minimini fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lorenzo Aburto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Tenorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Martínez de Aldunate in the 43rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pemuco FC defense, Isaac Canavesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaume Chiguaicura. The Pemuco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaume Chiguaicura should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mohamed Martínez de Aldunate made a kick off. Isaac Canavesio might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaume Chiguaicura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaac Canavesio ran back to his position shaking his head. If Isaac Canavesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
