An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Alcides Amezqueta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alcides Amezqueta during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Placilla got a freekick which was hit by Alcides Amezqueta. Wilfredo Santana-Bauzá hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Placilla defense, Wilfredo Santana-Bauzá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Meza. The Placilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Meza should have stopped the shot. Alcides Amezqueta came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Vino could save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The coaching staff of Lannisters protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adolfo Tab had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th minute, one of Lannisters:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lannisters. When Wilfredo Santana-Bauzá came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Lannisters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Santana-Bauzá couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Placilla's goalkeeper Eustaquio Meza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Santana-Bauzá. After a rather tough play, Placilla's Cipriano Alemparte got a free kick in the 89th minute. Raimundo Vino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcides Amezqueta in the 99th minute of the match.
