The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ubaldo Matildo Dohrmann kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The referee ignored Aoni AFC's protests and gave Juan Fernando Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Timar FC booed when Aoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Fernando Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remi Bugueño in the 10th minute of play forced Aoni AFC's goalkeeper Juan Cristóbal Frontaura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Paternost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Juan Cristóbal Frontaura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Timar FC booed when Aoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Felip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Felip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Fernando Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rolando Argomedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Rolando Argomedo managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Aoni AFC's Juan Fernando Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 37 minutes into the match, Timar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerardo Benito came free, but Rolando Argomedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Juan Fernando Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aoni AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Fernando Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Argomedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerardo Benito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Argomedo having to interfere. Rolando Argomedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerardo Benito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Remi Bugueño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerardo Benito was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Timar FC's Gilesindo Quevedo got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Arturo Paternost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Remi Bugueño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remi Bugueño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Cristóbal Frontaura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arturo Paternost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerardo Benito struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rolando Argomedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aoni AFC. With an all-out effort, Timar FC's Juan Cristóbal Frontaura threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arturo Paternost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 78 minutes into the match, Aoni AFC's goalkeeper Juan Cristóbal Frontaura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remi Bugueño. In the 79th minute, Jerardo Benito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aoni AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 84thth minute of the game Jerardo Benito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Timar FC's Rolando Argomedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aoni AFC's Juan Cristóbal Frontaura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Paternost in the 87th minute of play. Juan Cristóbal Frontaura made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Remi Bugueño sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Aoni AFC's Juan Cristóbal Frontaura got control of the ball when Gilesindo Quevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 99th minute, Juan Fernando Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Argomedo. Timar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aoni AFC had won after a very even match.
