Coya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvino Mendizabal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rómulo Anthony took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenaido Pacull, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rómulo Anthony showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zenaido Pacull, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenaido Pacull in the 13th minute of play forced Power Men's goalkeeper Rómulo Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Power Men's Rómulo Anthony played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvino Mendizabal in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenaido Pacull in the 20th minute of play forced Power Men's goalkeeper Rómulo Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zenaido Pacull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rómulo Anthony tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calvino Mendizabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rómulo Anthony having to interfere. Rómulo Anthony came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Coya's David Monckeberg. But to his dismay, David Monckeberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rómulo Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenaido Pacull in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zenaido Pacull to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Miguel Hernánde Olasagutia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Bolivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Power Men's Rómulo Anthony got control of the ball when Calvino Mendizabal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Power Men's Rómulo Anthony played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Monckeberg in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Candia got free with Rómulo Anthony in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute of the match, Zenaido Pacull tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rómulo Anthony saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Zenaido Pacull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Hernánde Olasagutia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Power Men's zone, Zenaido Pacull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rómulo Anthony came out of the goal and Zenaido Pacull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Calvino Mendizabal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Power Men's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Pacull came free, but Rómulo Anthony reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calvino Mendizabal in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rómulo Anthony, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zenaido Pacull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenaido Pacull in the 92nd minute of play forced Power Men's goalkeeper Rómulo Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Power Men's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Pacull came free, but Rómulo Anthony reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Miguel Hernánde Olasagutia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Power Men's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coya the free kick. Rómulo Anthony made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calvino Mendizabal in the 97th minute. Coya played a much better game than Power Men and deserved their victory. The Power Men players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
