Seran Aracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ermegildo Iturrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Jaroma got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Paredes. With a little luck, River Plate's Ermegildo Iturrieta got control of the ball when Remigio Carrasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remigio Carrasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ermegildo Iturrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Octavio Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigio Carrasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Ermegildo Iturrieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tito Bakovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Marre having to interfere. Xabier Quitral struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mariano Marre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. 72 minutes into the game, Seran Aracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ermegildo Iturrieta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 77 minutes into the match, Seran Aracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ermegildo Iturrieta. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seran Aracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ermegildo Iturrieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seran Aracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Jaroma's Juanjo Ganter got a free kick in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jaroma fully deserved thier win.
