Though ot was a great shot Vicuna FC's keeper Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantino Mosquera went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Rufino Samaniego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lonquimai's supporters rose to their feet, but Rufino Samaniego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lonquimai booed when Vicuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Carretero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufino Samaniego in the 24th minute of the match. When Theobald Anabalon came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Vicuna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theobald Anabalon couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Lonquimai's Rufino Samaniego sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Constantino Mosquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lonquimai's Leonides Antunovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Carretero in the 46th minute of play. Leonides Antunovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theobald Anabalon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufino Samaniego in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Alonso Arbildo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 70th minute, Vicuna FC's Alonso Arbildo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Antunovic. Leonides Antunovic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Theobald Anabalon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vicuna FC's Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Mosquera in the 77th minute of play. Javiero Baettig's late challenge caught a Vicuna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javiero Baettig helped the player get up and apologised. Javiero Baettig hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience cheered when Robustiano Rogers's long shot passed Leonides Antunovic's right side. It was 1-2, 83 minutes into the match. Abelado Pantoja's late challenge caught a Lonquimai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelado Pantoja helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Vicuna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Carretero to maneuver through the defense. When Theobald Anabalon came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Vicuna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theobald Anabalon couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Alonso Arbildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Antunovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicuna FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
