After recieving a nice pass, Coquimbo's Manuel Antonio Menart tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Minimini AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Serafín Boll hit a great ball. Epifanío Aliaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patxi Riveros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Odón Romero had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Fulgencio Salah fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minimini AFC's protests and gave Fulgencio Salah a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Minimini AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Salah. Patxi Riveros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanío Aliaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafín Boll during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Aldana in the 44th minute of play forced Minimini AFC's goalkeeper Patxi Riveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eric Peacock to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Saúl Garza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Peacock in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Coquimbo's zone, Eric Peacock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Saúl Garza came out of the goal and Eric Peacock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 60 in the game by Danilo Aldana from a close distance when the talented Patxi Riveros managed to make a qualified save. Minimini AFC's players were relieved. In the 61st minute Eric Peacock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Saúl Garza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Peacock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Saúl Garza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pere Jordi Poveda in the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Aldana got free with Patxi Riveros in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ysmael Palacios in the 71st minute of play forced Coquimbo's goalkeeper Carlos Saúl Garza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
