The supporters of Caliboro FC booed when Hilaricos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geofredo O´Caster didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fausto Trumbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esequiel Tornero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoel Hermida in the 25th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Velasco Fornes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hilaricos's Amador Ávila got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amador Ávila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yoel Hermida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Amador Ávila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hilaricos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Ávila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caliboro FC's Esequiel Tornero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Ávila in the 46th minute of play. If Yoel Hermida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baltazar Cuevas made a kick off. Amador Ávila struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Esequiel Tornero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hilaricos. Caliboro FC's Esequiel Tornero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Ávila in the 54th minute of play. Amador Ávila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Esequiel Tornero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Velasco Fornes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Velasco Fornes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute of the match Caliboro FC got a corner. Hilaricos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Justo Huerta ran over to the corner to take the kick. 75 minutes into the game, Amador Ávila recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esequiel Tornero. Amador Ávila showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 87 minutes in the game, Amador Ávila fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esequiel Tornero having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Ávila in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esequiel Tornero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Amador Ávila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esequiel Tornero. That made the score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play. Esequiel Tornero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Ávila in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Hilaricos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caliboro FC throughout the match.
