In the 5th minute, Máximo Eyzaguirre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alifonso Maino came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Rodelindo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alifonso Maino couldn't finish the play. Elazar Soloaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Eyzaguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Rodelindo FC's Alifonso Maino got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodelindo FC's Alifonso Maino in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pueblo Nuevo's Elazar Soloaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alifonso Maino in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pueblo Nuevo's goalkeeper Elazar Soloaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Alifonso Maino put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Elazar Soloaga. Alifonso Maino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lucián Reveco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elazar Soloaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alifonso Maino's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alifonso Maino to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pueblo Nuevo's Estevan Lizondo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Pueblo Nuevo's Elazar Soloaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alifonso Maino in the 53rd minute of play. Alifonso Mainos short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Elazar Soloaga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 56 minutes into the match, Pueblo Nuevo's goalkeeper Elazar Soloaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alifonso Maino. Benedicto Arco struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Elazar Soloaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodelindo FC. Máximo Eyzaguirre received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elazar Soloaga came out and tried to block the shot, but Máximo Eyzaguirre slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodelindo FC's Máximo Eyzaguirre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elazar Soloaga. That made the score 0-5 after 69 minutes of play. Isadoro Villalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Gundian, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 83rd minute, Rodelindo FC's Máximo Eyzaguirre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Alifonso Maino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Elazar Soloaga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Benedicto Facuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Máximo Eyzaguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Elazar Soloaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alifonso Maino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elazar Soloaga was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
