Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Tejada in the 6th minute of play forced Rota's goalkeeper Martino Marfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ernesto Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martino Marfil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Sierra in the 16th minute. Martino Marfil was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Julio Martiarena. Hugo Orlando Soria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Fenner in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Fenner in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Soria saved Lomas from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Rota's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hugo Pirola came free, but Martino Marfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Soria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Fenner in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Carson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lomas getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ariel Landi hit a great ball. If Leonides Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Ariano Adasme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lomas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rota the free kick. The supporters of Rota booed when Lomas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariano Adasme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Fenner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hugo Orlando Soria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martino Marfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hugo Pirola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Victor Hugo Pirola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lomas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ernesto Carson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. After 82 minutes of play Lomas's Ariano Adasme was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 83rd match minute, Lomas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariano Adasme to maneuver through the defense. Lomas's Julio Martiarena took a good shot, in the 86th minute, which hit the crossbar above Martino Marfil's head, and flew over the goal. Rota's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Lomas. After having played for 91 minutes, Anacleto Veliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lomas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Veliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlondón Ossandon hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Rota players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
