After 17 minutes, Florencio Gundian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pueblo Nuevo and the Rodelindo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pueblo Nuevo getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Florencio Gundian hit a great ball. Pueblo Nuevo's Elazar Soloaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Eyzaguirre in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pueblo Nuevo's goalkeeper Elazar Soloaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alifonso Maino scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elazar Soloaga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isadoro Villalobos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Gundian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92ndth minute of the game Alifonso Maino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pueblo Nuevo's Elazar Soloaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Benedicto Arco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rodelindo FC had played much better football throughout.
