The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Elmer Lott got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 17 minutes into the match, Rosapeta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elmer Lott came free, but Maurilio Salah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cambalache FC's zone, Cristofer Villagrán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pío Quintanilla came out of the goal and Cristofer Villagrán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Amado Anaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pío Quintanilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rosapeta FC's Maurilio Salah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmer Lott in the 25th minute of play. Milián Schindler's late challenge caught a Cambalache FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milián Schindler helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Cambalache FC's Elmer Lott ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurilio Salah. Maurilio Salah yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. A collision led to Cambalache FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Octavio Marco hit a great ball. If Cristofer Villagrán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Maurilio Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Elmer Lott lined in a short shot 4-1 behind a frustrated Maurilio Salah. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Elmer Lott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurilio Salah having to interfere. Filiberto Oliva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Maurilio Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurilio Salah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmer Lott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambalache FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Oliva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosapeta FC's Maurilio Salah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanausu Joglar in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute Octavio Marco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurilio Salah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elmer Lott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurilio Salah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmer Lott, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Maurilio Salah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elmer Lott went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmer Lott in the 94th minute of play forced Rosapeta FC's goalkeeper Maurilio Salah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elmer Lott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Maurilio Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cambalache FC fully deserved thier win.
