Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adam Baquedano took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Baquedano in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Pena saved Niquela from getting behind. Adam Baquedano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jorge Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Guarilihue's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Gandarillas came free, but Eustacio Escalante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Guarilihue getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Geofredo Vega hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Yoel Gandarillas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustacio Escalante was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jorge Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Lantadilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Carlos Alberto Massú hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Lantadilla struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jorge Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarilihue. 40 minutes into the match, Guarilihue's goalkeeper Eustacio Escalante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoel Gandarillas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yoel Gandarillas got free with Eustacio Escalante in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the game, Cerilo Dittborn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niquela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarilihue the free kick. Adam Baquedano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Pena having to interfere. Guarilihue's Honorato Larrea got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paco Bombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustacio Escalante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yoel Gandarillas went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Yoel Gandarillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guarilihue's Eustacio Escalante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoel Gandarillas in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guarilihue's Mercurio Mercado got a free kick in the 64th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Niquela's Isaac Romeo tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Lantadilla got free with Jorge Pena in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Guarilihue's Diego Armando Niño de Zepeda got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Adam Baquedano came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Guarilihue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Baquedano couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Niquela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Jorge Pena went to the wrong direction when Gabino Bari was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Lautaro Lantadilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jorge Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Baquedano, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With his leg Jorge Pena managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Guarilihue's Lautaro Lantadilla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yoel Gandarillas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Escalante having to interfere. Yoel Gandarillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eustacio Escalante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Angeloni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Escalante having to interfere. Niquela's Jorge Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Baquedano in the 99th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Niquela had won after a very even match.
