An unexpectedly hard shot by Quim Higuera in the 12th minute of play forced Buill's goalkeeper Jordi Albarracin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fanqui FC's Pedro Cabedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geofredo Illanes in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Fanqui FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Dorr to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Ricardo Higuera sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fanqui FC's Pedro Cabedo didn't even have to move. In the 20th minute, Romildo Grille left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Romildo Grille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Romildo Grille made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Cabedo. Fanqui FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Quim Higuera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 46th minute of the match Fanqui FC got a corner. Buill's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sisebuto Portal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Fanqui FC's Sisebuto Portal to fire away a dangerous shot which Jordi Albarracin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, one of Buill:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geofredo Illanes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romildo Grille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cabedo having to interfere. If Quim Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Quim Higuera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Quim Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fanqui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quim Higuera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes, Fausto Bas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buill and the Fanqui FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fausto Bas hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Pedro Cabedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romildo Grille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordi Albarracin was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Enrico Popelaire capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enrico Popelaire really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Pedro Cabedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romildo Grille's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Fanqui FC's Quim Higuera got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Geofredo Illanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Cabedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romildo Grille, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Geofredo Illanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedro Cabedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Buill's zone, Enrico Popelaire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jordi Albarracin came out of the goal and Enrico Popelaire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bernardo Yete fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buill's protests and gave Bernardo Yete a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Bernardo Yete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Enrico Popelaire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
