In the 9th minute, Cacike's Álvaro Joglar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Álvaro Joglar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cacike protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Álvaro Joglar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 8 minutes into the game, one of Cacike:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Altue AFC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eloi Bühler, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cacike's Arcadio Couve. 0-1. Arcadio Couve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviano Price in the 13th minute of the match. Modestio Villota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arcadio Couve having to interfere. Silviano Price sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altue AFC's Silviano Price got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Silviano Price shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arcadio Couve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silviano Price sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arcadio Couve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviano Price, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Arcadio Couve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviano Price, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Podador Berganza during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Podador Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 49 minutes, Silviano Price managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altue AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silviano Price was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviano Price to make the kick off. Modestio Villota's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arcadio Couve firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mario Alberto Devia charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Alberto Devia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Altue AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Alberto Devia. When Lucián Azpuru came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cacike fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucián Azpuru couldn't finish the play. In the 65th of the match, Silviano Price tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Arcadio Couve got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Cacike booed when Altue AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modestio Villota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd play minute Modestio Villota came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arcadio Couve. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Modestio Villota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altue AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Modestio Villota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arcadio Couve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Altue AFC's Cipriano Simaverti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucián Azpuru in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Fehrman during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Lucián Azpuru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviano Price might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arcadio Couve. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silviano Price ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo San Cristóbal during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Lucián Azpuru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Fehrman kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Altue AFC's zone, Lucián Azpuru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Simaverti came out of the goal and Lucián Azpuru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Altue AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Altue AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
