The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After recieving a nice pass, Hueyilemu AFC's Mercé Lois tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Francisco Antonio Bilbao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelmo Berau having to interfere. Francisco Antonio Bilbao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Adelmo Berau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Hueyilemu AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Carcuro to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Antonio Bilbao got free with Adelmo Berau in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mercé Lois to make the kick off. Francisco Antonio Bilbao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celestino Villavicencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adelmo Berau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Juan Luis Padilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aureo Fajardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Adelmo Berau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Pere Pirola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mercé Lois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mercé Lois came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Hueyilemu AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mercé Lois couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Hueyilemu AFC were the better team. Hueyilemu AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
