The score was now 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Cariquima's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Antonio Bilbao came free, but Américo Marcou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Celestino Villavicencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hueyilemu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Villavicencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Marcou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Américo Marcou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercé Lois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Antonio Bilbao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Américo Marcou having to make a save. Amadeo Pradel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mercé Lois struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Américo Marcou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hueyilemu AFC. 34 minutes into the game, Juan Luis Padilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Américo Marcou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cariquima's Américo Marcou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Villavicencio in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Justino Artaño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cariquima and the Hueyilemu AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Justino Artaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mercé Lois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mercé Lois made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Franco Bascur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cariquima's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hueyilemu AFC the free kick. In the 56th minute Franco Bascur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miren Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Luis Padilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Mercé Lois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romelio Mannhardt lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 67 minutes into the game, one of Hueyilemu AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Cariquima. Pablo Meneses stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miren Taylor. 2-1. In the 74th match minute, Hueyilemu AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Carcuro to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cariquima's Pablo Meneses tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mercé Lois in the 77th minute of play forced Cariquima's goalkeeper Américo Marcou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Marcou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mercé Lois showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 80 minute of play. Juan Luis Padilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Américo Marcou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hueyilemu AFC's Celestino Villavicencio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Américo Marcou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mercé Lois in the 95th minute of play. Juan Luis Padilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Marcou having to interfere. A collision led to Cariquima getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Justino Artaño hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hueyilemu AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
