The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chumilden FC's Domenico Salvadore got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Geraldo Ochagavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Salvadore in the 62nd minute of play forced CheLeRoS FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Cumsille to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Ochagavia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Cumsille having to interfere. CheLeRoS FC's Jacinto Cumsille proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save CheLeRoS FC from getting a goal against them. Severino Cofquecura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quentín Malherbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 79 minutes, Quentín Malherbe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CheLeRoS FC and the Chumilden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Quentín Malherbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. CheLeRoS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quentín Malherbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Cofquecura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Inocencio Estévez fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chumilden FC's protests and gave Inocencio Estévez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chumilden FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Inocencio Estévez hit a great ball.
