Josué Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Hidalgo in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Alejandro Hidalgo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Palmer. Chucalen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Hidalgo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Chucalen FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Francisco José Palamara hit a great ball. Serafín Boonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rollo Cisternas in the 13th minute of the match. Serafín Boonen made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Romualdo Colipi sent off a good shot on target. Rollo Cisternas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Boonen having to interfere. Josué Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Antonio Anabalon in the 28th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Chucalen FC's Rollo Cisternas in the 30th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Serafín Boonen was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Chancon through an amazing save. Romualdo Colipi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41st minute, Xavián Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chancon's Alejandro Hidalgo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chucalen FC booed when Chancon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florín Galván didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rollo Cisternas made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rollo Cisternas in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serafín Boonen saved Chancon from getting behind. In the 55th minute Rollo Cisternas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafín Boonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes of play, Chucalen FC's Romualdo Colipi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafín Boonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Josué Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Hidalgo in the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chucalen FC's zone, Manuel Antonio Anabalon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Palmer came out of the goal and Manuel Antonio Anabalon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Antonio Anabalon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejandro Hidalgo in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chancon were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Chucalen FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florín Galván took the corner. In the 85thth minute of the game Rollo Cisternas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chancon's Serafín Boonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Chancon booed when Chucalen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Daniel Mesina didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Hidalgo in the 92nd minute of play forced Chucalen FC's goalkeeper Josué Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romualdo Colipi struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Serafín Boonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chucalen FC.
