In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Romerales's goalkeeper Enzo Rioseco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BARTENDERS's Gervasio Mutis got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Enrique Mariano Aguilera made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game, Gervasio Mutis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Adelino Ibieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gervasio Mutis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Rioseco was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Vasco Wormald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romerales.
