In the 11th minute there was a penalty for JSM. Filipo Najera stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mercurio Oroeta. 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Alejandro Gallo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 18 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Larose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JSM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panquehue AFC the free kick. In the 19th minute, Rodolfo Larose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Alejandro Gallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JSM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Menéndez Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mercurio Oroeta having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Florián Langlois notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of JSM's Tomás Mac Auliffe. Tomás Mac Auliffe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Panquehue AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Menéndez Schmidt came free, but Mercurio Oroeta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Panquehue AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mercurio Oroeta should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Larose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mercurio Oroeta. Panquehue AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Larose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Florián Langlois's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Mac Auliffe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Igor Pretot's late challenge caught a Panquehue AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panquehue AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiph Malmgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Bertrán Baettig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Mac Auliffe having to interfere. JSM walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
