But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Romero couldn't finish the play. In the 27thth minute of the game Ramon María Frias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lliuco's Herminio Navarrete was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Eder Montiel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lliuco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcantara AFC the free kick. Enrique Urra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herminio Navarrete. Lliuco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Rosselot made a kick off. Alcantara AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
