Alexis Barcoj started the match with the kick off. Alexis Barcoj might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eladio Sandiford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexis Barcoj ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, FC Peñaflor's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Schmauk came free, but Estevan San Cristóbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Tauro Riquelme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Peñaflor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alpajere the free kick. In the 12th minute, one of FC Peñaflor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Peñaflor. The referee gave Alpajere a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gerardo Fazzini, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Peñaflor's Estevan San Cristóbal. 0-1. In the 19th minute, Miguel Hernánde Arteche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Peñaflor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruesga Almeida in the 26th minute of play forced FC Peñaflor's goalkeeper Estevan San Cristóbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Ruesga Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Estevan San Cristóbal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Alexis Barcoj reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eladio Sandiford. The goal made the score 2-2. FC Peñaflor's Estevan San Cristóbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Schmauk in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Lois Grille hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexis Barcoj kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Eleuterio Schmauk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevan San Cristóbal having to interfere. Estevan San Cristóbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Fazzini in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Durand to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC Peñaflor's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Fazzini came free, but Estevan San Cristóbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estevan San Cristóbal made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Ruesga Almeida sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Fazzini in the 61st minute of play forced FC Peñaflor's goalkeeper Estevan San Cristóbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estevan San Cristóbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomé Grez in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Alpajere booed when FC Peñaflor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Hernánde Arteche didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Peñaflor's Estevan San Cristóbal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Peñaflor from getting a goal against them. After 68 minutes, Rogelio Callejas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Peñaflor and the Alpajere players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eladio Sandiford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Hernánde Arteche in the 73rd minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Alpajere got a freekick which was hit by Casimír Viñuela. Miguel Hernánde Arteche struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Eladio Sandiford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Peñaflor. In the 90th minute, Rogelio Callejas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Peñaflor's zone, Gerardo Fazzini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estevan San Cristóbal came out of the goal and Gerardo Fazzini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
