Yeray Chirinos hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Putuputane's Felipe Luna got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulgencio Escala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Israel Ardizzoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felipe Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Constantino Abogabir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulín Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mafil FC's Fulgencio Escala got control of the ball when Felipe Luna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pablo Srain hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Gaspar Aristorena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Israel Ardizzoni in the 41st minute of play forced Mafil FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Escala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Aristorena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulín Ayala having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Constantino Abogabir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Putuputane's Paulín Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Abogabir in the 51st minute of play. After 55 played minutes Mafil FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Aristorena. 57 minutes into the match, Mafil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Luna came free, but Fulgencio Escala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
