With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Mac Clure in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Zúñiga saved Niupi FC from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Xaime Armaza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodor Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xaime Armaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marino Hermida struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Luciano Zúñiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerrillos. In the 45th match minute, Cerrillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Allu to maneuver through the defense. Niupi FC's Luciano Zúñiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Niupi FC from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xaime Armaza made a kick off. 60 minutes into the game, Balendín Montt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Teodor Paredes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xaime Armaza hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Pietro Alcaíno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Luciano Zúñiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Alberto Crawley fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerrillos's protests and gave Francisco Alberto Crawley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Francisco Alberto Crawley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cerrillos's Teodor Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaime Armaza in the 74th minute of play. If Pietro Alcaíno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Mac Clure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Zúñiga having to interfere. Pietro Alcaíno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Zúñiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Mac Clure in the 93rd minute of play. Balendín Montt took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodor Paredes. Teodor Paredes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Balendín Montt scored 4-3 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodor Paredes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Niupi FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
