Regino Camus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Samaniego having to interfere. Fortunato Astigueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Peacock in the 21st minute of the match. Ismael Lautroup's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Justino Samaniego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Román Catalá got free with Justino Samaniego in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justino Samaniego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duardo Raggio in the 35th minute of play. If Uriel Argo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Peacock to make the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Ismael Lautroup who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pamputa AFC's Justino Samaniego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pamputa AFC's Julio Peacock suffered a concussion in the 65th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Sergi Serey fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patillos's protests and gave Sergi Serey a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the game, Omar Talcao lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Fortunato Astigueta. Justino Samaniego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Román Catalá in the 82nd minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Jacinto Cangas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With a little luck, Patillos's Fortunato Astigueta got control of the ball when Uriel Argo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pamputa AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Patillos had controlled the match.
