But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Regino Camus couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Chagres AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ricart Chandia hit a great ball. Adriano Wilkenson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Regino Camus in the 22nd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Lautroup to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Patillos defense, Edmundo Nicoletti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fortunato Astigueta. The Patillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fortunato Astigueta should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute of the match, Regino Camus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adriano Wilkenson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Duardo Raggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the game, Chagres AFC's Edmundo Nicoletti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fortunato Astigueta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.
