Patillos's Fortunato Astigueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prodromos Zacharis in the 13th minute of play. Fortunato Astigueta came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS's 齐升翔. But to his dismay, 齐升翔 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With his leg Alessandro Berardini managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Patillos's Ismael Lautroup fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th match minute, EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis María Nil to maneuver through the defense. Patillos's Mario Alberto Echenique got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Viorel Nicolcioiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ismael Lautroup came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alessandro Berardini could save by the left post. Fortunato Astigueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Nicolcioiu in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS's Viorel Nicolcioiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fortunato Astigueta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 46 minutes of play, EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS's Viorel Nicolcioiu made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fortunato Astigueta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prodromos Zacharis to make the kick off. After some careless play in the EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS defense, Juan Estevan Mier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Berardini. The EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Berardini should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Fortunato Astigueta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xabel Ansaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Ismael Lautroup notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS's Alessandro Berardini. Alessandro Berardini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, Patillos's goalkeeper Fortunato Astigueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prodromos Zacharis. Luis María Nil hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Patillos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Viorel Nicolcioiu 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-5. Fortunato Astigueta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 齐升翔 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-6 in the 81 minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Patillos's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Nicolcioiu came free, but Fortunato Astigueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Patillos booed when EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Piperoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patillos's Fortunato Astigueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Nicolcioiu in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EL RETORNO THUNDER BOYS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
