When Basilio De la Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pocuro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio De la Cruz couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Lauro Nuñez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Markovic during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Umaquilca AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodolfo Markovic hit a great ball. Genaro Waugh charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Waugh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 31st minute of the match Rodolfo Markovic completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rodolfo Markovic a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 32nd minute of the match Genaro Waugh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moncho Zañartu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Moncho Zañartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio De la Cruz in the 33rd minute of play. Moncho Zañartu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio De la Cruz's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Moncho Zañartu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Jodar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pocuro AFC booed when Umaquilca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Albano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Basilio De la Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moncho Zañartu was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basilio De la Cruz in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moncho Zañartu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute Basilio De la Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moncho Zañartu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lauro Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogerio Recabal made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Basilio De la Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Umaquilca AFC's Moncho Zañartu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute, Jeronimo Jodar made a precise shot to the right of Moncho Zañartu. Umaquilca AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 60th minute Basilio De la Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moncho Zañartu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio De la Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pocuro AFC booed when Umaquilca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pere Jordi Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umaquilca AFC's Moncho Zañartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxín Larraona in the 64th minute of play. Moncho Zañartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Jodar in the 72nd minute of play. Moncho Zañartu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alipio Abasolo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Basilio De la Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moncho Zañartu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Basilio De la Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moncho Zañartu was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Genaro Waugh kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Lauro Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Waugh was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd minute, Pocuro AFC's Ismael Nazario Lazcano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moncho Zañartu. Moncho Zañartu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 95th minute, Rogerio Recabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Pocuro AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Umaquilca AFC.
