The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pomaire FC's Ruperto Huelqui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio De la Cruz in the 2nd minute of play. Teodor Maddaleno's late challenge caught a Pocuro AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Maddaleno helped the player get up and apologised. Teodor Maddaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ruperto Huelqui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxín Larraona in the 5th minute of the match. Gustavo Hormazabal charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Hormazabal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Pocuro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Hormazabal. Teodor Maddaleno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moncho Montane. Pocuro AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hilario Villarroel kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Basilio De la Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Pocuro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Concha came free, but Moncho Montane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Huelqui stood somewhat misplaced when Basilio De la Cruz came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. 34 minutes into the match, Pomaire FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio De la Cruz came free, but Ruperto Huelqui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeronimo Jodar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruperto Huelqui came out and tried to block the shot, but Jeronimo Jodar slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 36th minute. Jeronimo Jodar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Huelqui having to interfere. Lauro Nuñez's late challenge caught a Pomaire FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Nuñez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Lauro Nuñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basilio De la Cruz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Pomaire FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Lukey to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Basilio De la Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pocuro AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Francisco Antonio Callejas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pomaire FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Hilario Villarroel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Basilio De la Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Huelqui was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio De la Cruz in the 69th minute of play forced Pomaire FC's goalkeeper Ruperto Huelqui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruperto Huelqui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio De la Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pomaire FC's Ruperto Huelqui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alipio Abasolo in the 72nd minute of play. Basilio De la Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Huelqui having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Pocuro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Waugh. In the 80thth minute of the game Basilio De la Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pomaire FC's Ruperto Huelqui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Jeronimo Jodar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Huelqui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Basilio De la Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Huelqui was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Basilio De la Cruz struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ruperto Huelqui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pocuro AFC. If Lauro Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Basilio De la Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Pocuro AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio De la Cruz couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pocuro AFC fully deserved thier win.
