Moncho Zañartu came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Yutuy FC's Álvaro Gamarra. But to his dismay, Álvaro Gamarra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Xalvador Danus in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Moncho Zañartu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 18th minute, Rogerio Recabal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yutuy FC's Uriel Felip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualberto Hanssen in the 21st minute of play. When Álvaro Gamarra came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Yutuy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Gamarra couldn't finish the play. Álvaro Gamarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Moncho Zañartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Yutuy FC's Xalvador Danus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moncho Zañartu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Eusebio Abbatte kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rogerio Recabal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uriel Felip was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Umaquilca AFC's goalkeeper Moncho Zañartu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xalvador Danus. Gualberto Hanssen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umaquilca AFC's Moncho Zañartu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Umaquilca AFC from getting a goal against them. Moncho Zañartu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Gamarra in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Yutuy FC's Álvaro Gamarra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moncho Zañartu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gualberto Hanssen to strike the kick off in the second half. Moncho Zañartu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Gamarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Umaquilca AFC booed when Yutuy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaitano Guichard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Umaquilca AFC's zone, Xalvador Danus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moncho Zañartu came out of the goal and Xalvador Danus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Álvaro Gamarra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Umaquilca AFC's Moncho Zañartu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Wilfredo Munita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moncho Zañartu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xalvador Danus went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yutuy FC had won after a very even match.
