Ancagual's Angelillo Albarracin got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ancagual's Andrés Píriz got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Ancagual's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amadeo Aravena fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Ayaviri booed when Ancagual was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Yeray Asenjo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ayaviri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yeray Asenjo couldn't finish the play. Yeray Asenjo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Elías Chaparro made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Bolton in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elías Chaparro saved Ancagual from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Wilson Fajardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Bolton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elías Chaparro having to interfere. Yeray Asenjo struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Elías Chaparro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ayaviri. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelillo Albarracin was the one to do the kick off. Godofredo Grove struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Elías Chaparro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ayaviri. If Yeray Asenjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Yeray Asenjo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elías Chaparro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Aravena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Yeray Asenjo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayaviri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yeray Asenjo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the game, one of Ancagual:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ayaviri fully deserved thier win.
